Finally began, sheesh - 07.04.10

Okay, okay.

Hi, my name’s Paul and I’m here to change history and your own personal world. Don’t be too alarmed, I can only do so with your permission, after all. Before I get into the nitty, gritty stuff though - be warned that I am a prolific writer/communicator and most of my posts will be extensive. One last thing, the subject content of my posts will always be either: controversial, politically incorrect, humorous, paradoxical, frank, unconventional, informative, thought-provoking. Or perhaps them all.

So, something happened to me on March 12th, 2010 - I had my life-changing epiphany. It happened so suddenly that I felt akin to how award-winning scientists describe their “Eureka!” moments. I discovered in myself a new way to handle life that will allow me to accomplish all my goals, defeat all my obstacles, attain virtually anything that I desired. I felt indestructible, but at the same time completely fragile due to my Earth-suit (more on that in future post). A myriad of destructive thoughts came in mind:

- What if I forget this?!
- What if it won’t work?!
- What if I died?

Fortunately, the epiphany came with a resounding resolve. Something just clicked, and I was on my way to formulating my strategy to defeat all these thoughts and any future issues. And here I am today.

Alright Paul, but what IS it already?

You asked for it. This is the name I found for it initially, but it’s only the shell.

Utility Counter
Description: This concept is capable of being customized to achieve any goal by countering virtually any specific obstacle, but is incapable of all obstacles at the same time (likewise with goals).

Now this is very vague, I get it. But at the time, I meant it to umbrella any and all goals/obstacles. The way to employ it is simple, but potentially very difficult (yes, there is hard work involved). To illustrate it best, I turn to Sherlock Holmes. In order to find the people of interest in his cases, he had a methodical, step-by-step process in order to achieve his result. Here it is in a nutshell.

1. Acquiring Data
2. Analysis and interpretation of presented data
3. Resolution

Each of these steps I will break down further in future updates, but the introduction is already getting bulky without going into THAT whole thing.

To get back to the point of this post, it’s useful to know that I have been a dreamer and an idealist for my whole life. But things have changed, and now I want to capitalize on those dreams and I’m doing it by taking complete control of my life. I’m not taking instruction directly from anyone else, and I am living on my own terms. I don’t say this to mean that I’m rebelling against all I’ve learned, but to embrace the ideas I have cherished since childhood (freedom, expression, travel, individuality, etc). Right now I am traveling across the sunbelt of the United States over to visit my friends in Arizona and California, starting from Florida. Afterwords, I plan to travel south to the tips of South America. Did I mention I’m hitch-hiking for most (if not all) of the way?

People who have known me have always pointed out that I was more of a dreamer than a doer, and it’s time to make good of my promises and claims. By reading this, you are helping me on my quest to improve the world, whether you like it or not - so much for permission, eh? I will always be pushing against the world to do better, BE better.

Don’t forget to push back.
